Tribune News NetworkDohaThe General Department of Criminal Investigation has arrested four people in Qatar on charges of counterfeiting currency and fraud. A tip-off that one of the accused was allegedly operating a fraud, promising to double his victims’ money, led to the arrests.The authorities raided the home from which the alleged act was being carried out and found a large number of counterfeit currencies, paper scraps and some chemical compounds.The accused, all of whom hail from an African country, have been referred to competent authorities for further action.
