DPS Modern Indian School (DPS-MIS) recently organised ‘Qatar Chapter Capacity Building Programme’ on the topic of ‘Imbibing values in the era of technology to spread awareness and strengthen the identity, citizenship and values of Qatar’ for the teachers of Indian schools in Qatar under the aegis of Qatar Chapter Principal’s Forum.

The interactive session laid emphasis on inculcating valuable virtues among the 21st century learners, reinforcement of Qatar National Identity, its culture, heritage and core values, promotion of social cohesion, need of comprehensive education based on well-established principles in the technology-driven world and various classroom activities to actively engage students and promote analytical and critical thinking of students.

The enthusiastic and energetic participation of the teachers defined the success of the programme and their valuable suggestions to build a robust education system in order to safeguard the younger generations from moral hazards in this alluring digital age, paved the way for a sustainable world which is led by technologically advanced, morally strong and socially responsible citizens.

The seminar was held in two sessions.

DPS-MIS Principal Asna Nafees gave valuable insights on the topic and appreciated the resource persons DPS Modern Indian School faculty members Lakshmi Bijoy and Dr Deepika for their engaging presentations.
