The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) organised a workshop entitled ‘Confronting linear thinking with comprehensive incremental thinking: Stimulating a culture of quality, modernity and creativity’, in the presence of Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs HE Ibrahim bin Ali Al Mohannadi.

In a statement, the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) said the workshop aimed to enhance and develop a culture of quality, innovation, creativity and sustainability. It also aimed to motivate employees to adopt a comprehensive and multidimensional approach in their thinking and dealing with the various issues and challenges they face while performing their supervisory, administrative, or practical tasks, ultimately striving to achieve innovation and excellence.

Al Mohannadi emphasised the significance of the workshop, aligning with the government’s programmes and policies aimed at enhancing government performance and ensuring the optimal implementation of the Third National Development Strategy (2024-2030). This necessitates the development of creative thinking among the workforce, harnessing their skills, and enriching their expertise with the latest successful experiences and best practices in strategic planning. The focus is on cultivating ambitious and innovative ideas to achieve goals with a high level of excellence and creativity. Additionally, it involves exploring unconventional solutions and approaches to address institutional system problems, challenges, and opportunities, he said.

Assistant Director of the Center for Legal and Judicial Studies (CLJS) at the Ministry of Justice, Nada Jassim Al-Abdul-Jabbar, stated that the workshop, organised to enhance the work environment, is part of a series of training workshops for MoJ employees hosted by the CLJS in collaboration with the Planning, Quality, and Innovation Department. These workshops aim to foster a culture of creativity and innovation at work, recognising it as one of the essential skills required for employees to effectively carry out their assigned tasks.

Director of the Planning, Quality, and Innovation Department at the MoJ, Hadeel Abdul Latif Al Jaber, emphasized that this workshop forms a crucial component of an integrated programme, showcasing the ministry’s dedication to sustainable excellence standards. This commitment aligns with the latest institutional performance programmes, which advocate for elevating the quality of procedures and actions, he said.

The workshop covered several significant topics, including institutional innovation, various areas suitable for innovation, and mechanisms for leveraging digital technology to enhance or transform traditional processes and service development. It also delved into the current landscape of technological transformations and their impacts on the work environment, as well as explored the potential for change and its correlation with human staff. Additionally, the workshop reviewed emerging technology domains and future prospects, among other important subjects.
