Students of DPS-Modern Indian School (DPS-MIS) celebrated Teachers’ Day on September 5 with a multitude of online presentations, marking their appreciation and gratitude to education warriors for their commitment and dedication to imparting uninterrupted holistic education, especially during these unprecedented times.
The students of Grade XI and XII conveyed their heartfelt feelings for their mentors and guides through a poetic audio visual presentation. The middle-school students paid a musical tribute to all the teachers, thanking them for their immense contribution to fostering their lives.
The students from Nursery to Grade XII greeted their teachers with their selfies carrying an appreciation message for their magnanimous effort in bringing a positive difference to their lives. All the videos are uploaded on the official Facebook page of DPS-MIS.
A virtual meeting was also organised in order to acknowledge the immense contribution of the nation builders in moulding and educating the global citizens of tomorrow. The occasion was graced by Vice President of DPS-MIS Yasir Nainar, Principal Asna Nafees, Vice Principal Senior Secondary School Soma Bhattacharjee, Vice Principal Senior School Mary Cruz and Headmistress Sini Menon, and attended by all the teachers from Nursery to Grade XII.
The Chief Guest Yasir Nainar, in his speech, highlighted the vital role of teachers in the lives of students. He commended the efforts of the teachers who transpire hope, love and wisdom among the students and insisted on infusing the young minds with stronger values so that they are groomed into more valuable individuals.
Principal Asna Nafees lauded the teachers for their quick adaptation to online classes and continuing to impact lives positively. She congratulated Jayanthi Rajagopalan, HOD of Social Science, who has been selected for the ‘Best Teacher Award’ by the Embassy of India in Qatar for her invaluable contribution to the field of
education.
Soma Bhattacharjee, Mary Cruz and Sini Menon conveyed their wishes to all the teachers on the Teachers’ Day and applauded their commitment and perseverance in taking the school to greater heights.
