DOHA

Jiwan, nestled within the National Museum of Qatar (NMoQ), and La Mamounia, the iconic Moroccan hotel with a century-long legacy, recently wrapped up an exclusive three-day celebration of Moroccan cuisine. The collaboration, which was part of the Qatar-Morocco 2024 Year of Culture, treated guests to the rich flavours and traditions of Morocco right here in Doha.

From April 25 to 27, Jiwan joined forces with the culinary team from the hotel’s signature Le Marocain restaurant to create a distinctively Moroccan dining experience, each dish showcasing the diverse and vibrant favours of the region. Guests had the opportunity to savour a range of traditional Moroccan dishes, reimagined with a modern twist by Jiwan’s Head Chef Morgan Perrigaud and La Mamounia’s Le Marocain Chef Rachid Agouray and team.

Yves Godard, F&B Operations Director of IN-Q Enterprises (IN-Q), expressed his gratitude to La Mamounia’s culinary team for their collaboration, saying, “It was a pleasure to host La Mamounia at Jiwan and celebrate the vibrant flavours of Morocco together. This collaboration not only showcased the excellence of both establishments, but also fostered cultural exchange and understanding between Qatar and Morocco.”

Chef Morgan Perrigaud echoed, “Working with the talented chefs from Le Marocain led by Chef Rachid was truly inspiring. Together, we were able to create a menu that celebrated the essence of Moroccan food culture while offering a unique dining experience to our guests at Jiwan.”

Situated at the heart of La Mamounia, Le Marocain restaurant has been synonymous with modern Moroccan food since its establishment in 1923. Over the years, the hotel has welcomed A-list guests from around the globe, cementing its reputation as one of the world’s preferred hospitality destinations.
