The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MoECC), represented by the Winter Camping Affairs Committee, has extended the camping period for the current season until April 29, instead of April 1, in the northern and central regions of the country.

The ministry also has decided to extend camping in the areas of Sealine and Al Udeid until May 20.

The decision to extend camping in Sealine and Al Udeid comes for an additional period compared to the rest of the regions due to the delay in camping thereto host a number of heritage events, which introduces visitors to the Qatari and cultural environment during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.As the camping began in these two areas late, the ministry decided to compensate camp owners by delaying the end of camping there.

The ministry called on the camp owners to preserve the gardens and reserves, stressing the importance of everyone’s commitment to the ministry’s instructions during the end of camping, by not leaving waste inside the reserves, and collect it in the places specified by the ministry.

Cars must abide by the natural paths set by the authorities, and not run over trees and plants, it added.
