The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MoECC) rushed into action to seal off a dangerous crater in Sealine area following a citizen’s plea for urgent intervention.
The ministry said it acted quickly to secure and protect visitors to the area and vehicles.
“The Sealine Unit, affiliated with the Ministry’s Natural Reserves Department, is also taking the necessary measures to close the crater and completely secure the area,” the MoECC said in a social media post on Saturday.
The intervention followed the circulation of a video on social media, showcasing a crater filmed by a citizen, calling on authorities to intervene.
