Thirteen more Qatari citizens have been arrested for violating the home-quarantine pledge they undertook as part of efforts to contain the spread of coronavius (COVID-19) in Qatar, the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) said on Wednesday.

Qatar had approved home isolation as a second option for families returning to the country from abroad, provided they sign a pledge to remain under self-quarantine for a prescribed period.

 

The MoPH said the violators are being referred to the competent prosecution, and they are:

 

 1- Jaber Abdul-Hadi Ali al Arq al Marri

 

2- Muhammad Salem Saif al Athba al Marri

 

 3- Muhammad Salem Ali Jaber al Yarbawi

 

 4- His successor, Hamad Hindi Muhammad al Dossari

 

 5- Ahmed Abdel Rahman Youssef Ahmed Shams

 

 6- Imran Muhammad Juma al Omran al Qubaisi

 

 7- Hamad Imran Juma al Omran al Qubaisi

 

 8- Saeed Muhammad Zayed al Alam al Khayarin

 

 9- Fahad Mubarak Saeed al Qudam al Mansouri

 

 10- Ali Mushabab Ali Abdullah al Qahtani

 

 11- Hamad Marhi Muhammad Amer al Ghorab

 12- Ghanem Husayn Muhammad al Tayyar 

 13- Mohammed Saeed Haif al Mazfari al Hajri

The relevant authorities in the state called on citizens and residents of the domestic quarantine to strictly adhere to the requirements set by the Ministry of Public Health to ensure their safety and the safety of others.

 The statement of the Ministry of Public Health confirmed that whoever violates these conditions will expose himself to the penalties stipulated in accordance with the provisions of Article 253 of the Penal Code No (11) of 2004 AD, and the provisions of Law No (17) of 1990 regarding prevention of infectious diseases, and Law No (17)  (2002) on protecting society.
