DOHA: The Public Transport Security Department of the Ministry of Interior conducted a mock exercise simulating a train collision at Al Wakra Metro Station on Friday.
Participating departments included the Civil Defence Operations Department, General Directorate of Traffic, South Security Department, Rescue Police Department (Al-Fazaa), Central Operations Department, Hamad Medical Corporation's ambulance service, Qatar Rail, and RKH Company, the operator of the Doha Metro.
First Lieutenant Ghanem Mohammed Al-Malki, the exercise officer from the Public Transport Security Department, said that the department regularly conducts emergency exercises for the Doha Metro and Lusail Tram to enhance readiness, cooperation, and coordination among various departments and entities. These exercises also aim to review and improve railway security measures.
