Tribune News NetworkDohaSeventeen on-duty health centres under the Primary Health Care Corporation of Qatar will work non-stop on weekends and official holidays from next month.The centres will remain open to public from 7am to 11pm from November 1 onwards. At present, the centres run in two shifts — from 7am to 2pm and from 4pm to 11pm.The services included during these new working hours are general medicine, radiology, laboratory, pharmacy, and nursing services, and will be provided through the following 17 on-duty health centres:1. Airport HC 2. West Bay HC3. Umm Ghuwailina HC4. Omar Bin Khatab HC 5. Al Wakra HC 6. Rawadat Al Khail HC7. Madinat Khalifah HC8.  Al Khor HC 14. Al Rayyan HC9. Al Shamal HC10. Umm Slal HC11. Labaib HC 12. AbuBaker Al Siddiq HC 13. Mesaimeer HC15. Al Sheehaniya HC16. Muaither HC17. Al Jumailiya HCThis expansion of working hours during weekends is considered an addition to other similar efforts and other services provided by PHCC to ease patients access. As PHCC also provides their 24-hrs’ Urgent Care Services in 6 health centers: Rawdat Al Khail HC, Ghrrafat Al Rayyan HC, Al Kaaban HC, Al Sheehaniya HC, Al Shamal HC, and Abu Baker Al Siddiq HC.The Primary Health Care Corporation is the main provider of primary health care in State of Qatar through 27 health centres of a geographical distribution that covers all areas of Qatar. These health centres provide an integrated patient-focus health care services that addresses all current and future health requirements of all patients in accordance with the National Health Strategy in Qatar.
