GULF Organisation of Research and Development (GORD) on Sunday signed memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with Kuwait Public Transport Company (KPTC) and Qatar Development Bank (QDB) to establish collaboration for Global Sustainability Assessment System (GSAS) related activities.
Under the MoU, the GORD and KPTC will evaluate the possibility of developing collaboration for a number of activities, including development of GSAS in KPTC projects, education of KPTC staff through training courses, workshops and seminars and other joint projects according to mutual agreement.
The agreement was signed by Founding Chairman of GORD Yousef al Horr and Executive Director of Transportation Affairs of KPTC at the opening of the Sustainability Summit in Doha.
In the other MoU, QDB and GORD will jointly conduct a feasibility study for manufacturing of Q-COOL innovative air conditioning system developed by GORD.
The study will include confirming market position, identifying export markets, assessment of strategic options, technical assessment, manufacturing process, licensing requirements, financial assessments, business plan and marketing strategy.
The pact was signed by Horr and the acting executive director of Advisory Services at QDB.
