The Qatar Volleyball Association, headed by Ali Ghanim al Kuwari, postponed the QVA League to next Friday.
At the QVA headquarters in Doha, a meeting was chaired by Kuwari and and it was decided to put off the league till Friday. The order of the matches will however remain the same as before.
On the opening day at 5:15 pm, Police will take on Qatar Sports Club and Al Rayyan Club will face Al Shamal Club in the second match at 6:45 pm.

Beach h'ball team to camp in US
The Qatar beach handball team will leave for California on Tuesday to attend a training camp to prepare for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
The camp will continue till November end. Qatar had qualified for the World Cup after winning the Asian championship in Thailand in May this year.
The team will be headed by Qatar Handball Association Assistant Secretary-General Khalifa Taysir al Jassim, while Salem Mohammed al Dosari is the manager and Khalid Mohammed Ali is the coach.
Qatar was classified third in the World Championship where was held in the Hungarian capital Budapest last year.

SOP meeting
The organising committee of the Schools Olympic Program (SOP) held a technical meeting on Sunday with the directors of the group matches competitions.
The meeting was aimed at discussing the plan for the next phase and studying the latest developments in the competitions after getting reports from the competition directors.
The meeting was attended by Qatar School Sports Federation technical expert Dr. Salahuddin Salem, a number of competition directors and representatives of the private schools.
The SOO is jointly organised and supervised by the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC), the Ministry of Education and Higher Education and the Qatar School Sports Federation.
During the meeting, Dr Salem thanked all those involved in the SOP for their efforts and contributions that have led to a big success of the joint initiative.
He also talked about the objectives of the SOP, which was to support the development of sport in Qatar and raise the level of awareness about sports concepts and Olympic values.
The meeting also discussed the proposed schedule of the SOP organising committee in view of the private schools involvement in the event and the competition rules and regulations.
The meeting also dealt with the booking of the stadiums for competitions and the equipment required for all games.
The QSSF technical expert highlighted that the SOP has achieved many achievements, including the big number of the participating students. He also said that the organising committee would have not been able to raise the standing without outstanding contributions from school teachers.
Dr Salem said that a detailed schedule of the hosts has already been distributed among the schools and a database of all participants is being prepared to monitor their performances.
The technical expert also laid emphasis on the importance of the referees of the and technical experts in the proper implementation of the playing rules.
Dr. Salem said the theme of this year's SOP is to establish a sports culture that spreads awareness about the health benefits and prepares an attractive environment for students get involved in physical activities.
