The International Labour Organization's (ILO) closure of the labour complaint against Qatar was a product of three years of efforts made by Qatar, said Head of the Administrative Human Rights at the Ministry of Interior Abdullah Sagr al Muhannadi.
He said,"The achievements of the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs and other ministries concerned in the country were encouraging to lift the labour rights to the higher standards which convey the Qatari prestige in the international community.
"We will continue to address all the challenges against Qatar under the wise leadership of the Emir His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani and Prime Minister and Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al Thani.
Regarding the three-year Technical Memorandum signed between Qatar and ILO, he said,"The memorandum is related to the technical cooperation between both parties to achieve the high standards of labour rights and to accomplish better training experience to the Qatari labour inspectors."
