QATAR Charity (QC) has successfully implemented 285 healthcare projects in 19 countries during the first half of this year to benefit thousands of people in these nations.
In a press release on Saturday, the QC said that the projects of securing the construction and equipping of hospitals, healthcare centres and clinics aimed at enhancing healthcare services and improving the quality of medical services in the targeted countries.
These projects were based on a field survey and a comprehensive study and reports of the governments of these countries which included Palestine, Lebanon, Somalia, Niger, Mali, Ghana, Sudan, India, Bosnia, Bangladesh, Yemen, Burkina Faso, Kyrgyzstan and Morocco, the QC noted.
QC expressed its thanks to all supporters of its projects including Qataris and residents, affirming that this support for humanitarian work reflects the reality of the Qatari community's benevolence, supporting all those in need around the world.
The QC further noted that more than 24 million people in 36 countries benefited from its projects in the first half of this year in various developmental, humanitarian and social fields. (QNA)
