THE Inter School Performing Art Competition, organised by the Indian Cultural Centre (ICC), the apex body of Indian community, concluded in Doha with a prize-distribution ceremony.
Over 100 students from 13 Indian schools attended the event held at the Ashoka Hall of ICC, recently. Birla Public School was announced as overall champion at the contest. While in the senior and sub-junior category, Delhi Public School was declared winner, and MES School was awarded for winning the intermediate category.
Indian Embassy Consular and Coordinating Officer Rajesh Kamble was the chief guest on the occasion.
While addressing the gathering, Kamble congratulated the ICC committee members and the special subcommittee formed to conduct the event and the panel of judges for initiating and conducting this mega event. “Such events with wide participation of Indian students will fulfil the objectives of the Indian cultural Centre,” Kamble said.
He also congratulated the schools, teachers and students for taking part in the competition.
ICC President Milan Arun in her presidential address, highlighted the importance of the competition for the young generation. She thanked students, staff and management of all Indian school and parents for their active participation in the event.
