MES Indian School watched national and international soccer stars in action at the Emir Cup 2017. A total of 2,500 MES soccer fans saw the spectacular match played between two premier teams, Al Sadd and Al Rayyan, in the full-to-capacity Khalifa International Stadium.
MES is one of the few expatriate schools to have been invited to witness the grand opening ceremony of the first 2022 World Cup stadium Al Khalifa International Stadium in Qatar."This is an opportune moment for our students to have a hands-on experience and learn about football skills displayed at the highest professional level," said Principal Hameeda Kadar.
The final of the Emir Cup 2017, which was preceded by the inauguration of the stadium, was an action-packed event with Al Sadd overwhelming Al Rayyan 2 goals to 1.
