STARBUCKS in association with experts from Silatech is set to organise a training workshop for the youth on business startup skills in Qatar on April 24.
The workshop to be held simultaneously across two Starbucks stores aims at supporting youth to foster right mind-set and entrepreneurial skills in the country.
This year, Starbucks takes 'Opportunity Caf`' a step further by organising a coalition of experts with Bayt, EFE, Silatech and AMIDEAST to provide a wide range of professional advice for youth on the subjects of entrepreneurship and employment. The scale of this initiative spreads across 10 countries impacting youth across the MENA.
Mashael Ali al Hammadi, director of Employability at Silatech, commented:"Our mandate is to prepare Arab youth for the world of work and connect them to jobs and economic opportunities through innovative employment and enterprise initiatives."
She added:"This collaboration with Starbucks is a great example of how partners can utilise their expertise to help Arab youth realise their full potential."
Commenting on the occasion, Rana Shaheen, regional communications and CSR manager for Starbucks MENA, said:"At Starbucks, we continue to support youth across the region to find opportunities and inspire them to reach their maximum potential.
"This year, we have partnered with the experts in employment and entrepreneurship to form the largest coalition of experts giving local youth the opportunity to pick up valuable insights over a cup of Starbucks coffee and setting them on the path to success."
