The Radisson Blu Hotel, Doha will join the global initiative organised by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) on March 25 2016. Earth Hour invites individuals, businesses, governments and individuals to turn off their lights for one hour to show their support for environmentally sustainable action.
The hotel is part of the Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group. Last year 210 hotels from the Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group participated in Earth Hour. It hopes increase this number to 240 hotels.
Radisson Blu will turn off all non-critical electrical appliances and will be hosting a candlelight dinner at Pier 12 restaurant and will have an Earth Hour mocktail available at their Palm Garden lobby caf`. In addition, the hotel's employees will be switching off all lights in their accommodations.
The hotel will continue in its efforts to take action beyond the hour, to use energy efficiently, through initiatives involving both guests and employees. Radisson Blu looks forward to welcoming members of the community to the hotel to show their support.
