Intercontinental Doha The City, in collaboration with the Australian Embassy in Qatar, is offering guests an opportunity to explore the best of Australia's culinary fare at Prime restaurant. The promotion ends on February 28. All guests who dine during the promotion stand a chance to win two tickets to Australia, courtesy of Official Airline Partner: Qatar Airways. The distinct menu created by Celebrity Masterchef Tarek Ibrahim features premium meat cuts and impressive cooking style to enable guests to explore the best of Australia's culinary fare.
With over 30 years' experience in the United States and the Middle East, Tarek has a wealth of knowledge and experience in all aspects of food. He is currently working as Corporate Chef for Meat and Livestock Australia, providing training to executive chefs and food service professionals on meat handling and cooking methods.
At the promotion guests can choose from different cut of meat that include flank steak, skirt steak, short ribs on the bones, oyster blade, D rump, braised cheeks, prime rib and leg of lamb.
The finely crafted menu is proof of how well Tarek understands the various cuts of meat. The menu has a brief description of the cut allowing guests to understand and choose what they would like to taste.
He developed his passion and respect for food from a young age. Certified Executive Chef by the American Culinary Federation and Global Judge (WACS) and current star of Fatafeat TV shows '100 Macaroni' and 'Min Misr' (From Egypt), his cooking is influenced and inspired by both eastern and western cultures.
A must-try on the menu are the Braised cheeks, which are moist and almost melt in the mouth and the Oyster Blade popularly known as flat iron steak in US and butlers' steak in UK. Oyster Blade is a cut from the shoulder blade of the beef. The menu offers good enough portion size per dish most of which are priced QR134 while a selection of all the different cuts on offer is priced at QR1,149.
