Vice-Chairperson and CEO of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF) HE Sheikha Hind bint Hamad al Thani welcomed a delegation from the Californian-based Pacific Council on International Policy to Education City on Monday.
Sheikha Hind met the 20-member delegation at QF headquarters where they were given a comprehensive presentation highlighting QF's different education institutes, science and research centres and community development initiatives.
The Pacific Council on International Policy is a non-partisan organisation that connects a network of people from different industries and sectors on the American west coast to share ideas and keep up on US foreign policy and international affairs.
During the visit, Sheikha Hind outlined to the visitors how QF's flagship development, Education City, serves as a hub of academic excellence, housing a range of educational facilities, from QF schools to partner universities and its homegrown institution, Hamad Bin Khalifa University.
Following the presentation, the visitors were taken to the open-air viewing platform on the eighth floor of QF HQ where they were shown the education and research buildings of Education City and discussed future plans at QF.
Concluding the visit, members of the delegation signed QF's Visitors Book to commemorate their visit.
