Offering fitness, health and well-being through a unique approach, OxFitness Lab, a five-star training facility, has opened its doors to Qatar's fitness enthusiasts.
The state-of-the-art facility commenced operations at The Gate Mall in West Bay with a grand opening in the presence of VIP guests, members, management and staff.
With the launch of the world-class facility, OxFitness Lab unveiled a sophisticated array of fitness technologies, training equipment, diagnostic services, analytics, nutrition management, group plus individual fitness programmes and tailor-made training regimes for fitness fans.
After the launch, guests enjoyed a tour of the facility equipped with LifeFitness cardio and strength equipment, multi-functional Queenax bridges, which happen to be the largest in the Middle East and a fully immersive RealRyder studio, Electromyo Stimulation, Pilates Reformer machines, sauna, steam rooms and hot and cold dipping pools.
The one-of-its-kind Fitness Lab is the brain-child of Qatar's sportsman Mohamed Abu Issa, who personally created its concept and design.
Abu Issa said:"From an international athlete's perspective, I wanted to design a space that introduces a beginner to a whole new world of fitness solutions, without compromising the availability of rigorous training regimes for professional sports people in the country. We set out to make the pursuit of fitness fun; to make it an experience that is inspiring and challenging. And we certainly wanted to use the best technologies available. I am confident that OxFitness Lab will become the kind of energising space that gives our patrons the power to make their experience exactly what they want it to be."
Abu Issa shared his thoughts on health and wellbeing, saying,"A healthy lifestyle prevents health problems and boosts your energy every day. It has also been scientifically proven that healthier lifestyle leads to improvement of self-esteem and causes better performance and interpersonal success. Our vision is to create a positive lifestyle change through education and the provision of innovative training methods."
The team of professionals on board to serve patrons includes fitness trainers who specialise in a wide range of areas from mixed martial arts, crossfit, pilates, yoga to physiotherapists and nutritionists.
OxFitness Lab offers a specialised health induction pathway to each of its members, which includes consultations, diagnostic analysis, postural analysis, functional movement screening and strength and endurance testing.
Among the selection of innovative classes on offer are SkillFit, Myofascial Training, Acro Lab, Proprioceptive Pilates, Animal Movement and RealRyder, making it an attractive facility.
