The joint special forces of the armed forces concluded the first foundational training in free jump for trainees from Kuwait on Tuesday. The training took place under the auspices of the Minister of State for Defence Affairs HE Dr Khalid bin Mohammed al Attiyah and with the participation of 19 Kuwaiti trainees belonging to the different branches of the armed forces there. Held in Sabkhat Marmi region and executed by Qatari trainers from the paratrooper battalion of the armed forces’ portable special forces, the training featured 94 training sessions, of which 14 were theoretical and 80 practical.
The sessions trained participants on jumping from an altitude of 12,000 feet and were concluded without any injuries. In the final day of the training, Brigadier Hamad bin Abdullah al Fetais al Marri, commander of the joint special forces, handed graduation certificates to participants. (QNA)
