M?venpick Hotel Al Aziziyah Doha has appointed Rami Hmaydan as its new executive chef. In his new role, Hmaydan will oversee kitchen operations and cuisines for all the hotel's outlets, including Victoria tea lounge, Turkish restaurant Agora, contemporary restaurant Blue and all-day dining Flavours, as well as banquet events and outside catering services.
Originally from Lebanon, Hmaydan specialises in Italian, French and Arabian cuisines and brings more than 20 years of industry experience. Known for his creativity in the kitchen, Hmaydan started his culinary career in 1997 with a number of restaurants in Beirut, Lebanon. In 2003, he moved to UAE to join the pre-opening team of Grand Hyatt Dubai. Later, in 2005, he was part of the pre-opening team of Park Hyatt Dubai and was in charge of banquets.
Hmaydan began his journey with M?venpick Hotels & Resorts in 2010 at M?venpick Hotel West Bay where he worked as executive sous chef in charge of all food and beverage operations, including catering services for VIP functions, weddings and conferences.
Commenting on his new appointment, Hmaydan said,"M?venpick Hotel Al Aziziyah Doha is well-known for the exceptional quality of their food and service, and it's my aim to grow that reputation further with new creative menus and concepts that will attract guests, visitors and locals alike."
