PRIME Minister of the Syrian Interim Government DrJawad Abu Hatab has hailed the leadership, the government and the people of Qatar for their support to the Syrian people since the first day of the revolution.
Speaking to Arabic dailies Al-Watan and Al-Sharq, Abu Hatab highlighted Qatar's role in helping Syrian people in various ways, pointing out to a plan to develop electronic education in Syria in cooperation with the Qatari government, which is the first to admit the renewal of Syrians passports.
Abu Hatab noted that he was among the delegation who met with Qatar's Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman al Thani.
The delegation was headed by President of the supreme negotiating body of the Syrian Opposition Riad Hijab, and President of the National Coalition for Syrian Revolutionary and Opposition Forces Anas al Abdah.
Abu Hatab noted that the meeting was successful and constructive, and discussed several issues on the Syrian and regional arenas. He praised the developing relations with Qatar at all levels, and hailed the fundraising campaign for Aleppo, saying that it would achieve many positive results in Syria and would help in providing the needs of the Syrian people.
He added that his government will coordinate with the Qatari charity organisations to carry out relief work as well as developmental work in Syria through the creation of small enterprises for Syrian families in the liberated areas.
He further noted that his government will mainly coordinate with the governments of Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Turkey, and some western governments. He praised the unlimited support and assistance provided by Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Turkey to the Syrian people since the first day of the revolution.
