Qatar Steel has participated in The Big 5 of Dubai, an annual trade show that offers participating delegates, particularly those in the construction sector, a platform to exchange ideas and business opportunities. This year, it has drawn more than 2,800 exhibitors from 60 countries and thousands of visitors from all over the world.
A four-day event, the Big 5 began on November 21.
"The Big 5 was a good platform for us to boost our business relations and ways of cooperation with our strategic partners in the building and constructions sector," said Qatar Steel's Commercial Division Manager Ahmed Abdul Aziz al Ansari.
He said the trade show helped the company enhance the communication channels with its customers and traders, and develop services to meet their needs and expectations.
"The show was also a good occasion for us to show our expertise in manufacturing and supplying steel products and providing solutions to problems in the building and constructions sector, which witnesses an increasing growth in Qatar and the Arabian Gulf region," he said.
"The show gave the participants the chance to get familiar with the strategies and opportunities available and to discuss the challenges that professionals in building and construction sectors in GCC countries might face," Ansari added.
Qatar Steel's pavilion showcased samples of high quality rebar and wire-rod products, which are recognized and accredited by a number of specifications and standards authorities in the Gulf and across the world.
"Qatar Steel is one of the leading steel producers and suppliers in the Arabian Gulf and the Middle East. Since its establishment in 1974, it has acquired a reputation and competitive position in the local and regional markets," the company said in a statement on Sunday.
"The company adopts the highest standards of health, safety and environment norms in all its manufacturing operations. The safety of its employees and environment protection are always on top of its priorities," it added.
