Turkey and Israel say security forces foiled threat to Israelis

Istanbul: Turkish and Israeli security units had prevented attacks against Israeli nationals in Turkey, the two countries’ foreign ministers said on Thursday.
Israeli Foreign Minister Yair Lapid thanked Turkey for coordinating the efforts during a press conference with his Turkish counterpart Mevlüt Çavusoglu in Ankara. Lapid charged that Iran was behind the planned attacks, citing Israel’s intelligence reports. Turkey would “under no circumstance” allow such incidents on its soil, Çavusoglu said, without naming any third country. (dpa)
