Qatari businessmen and their Algerian counterparts called for the need to work together to strengthen cooperation between the companies of the two countries in all strategic fields and to double and intensify the volume of trade exchange to serve the common interests of Qatar and Algeria.
During the meeting of the Joint Business Council held in Algiers, businessmen of the two countries stressed the need to develop trade and economic exchange, and to discuss ways to enhance Qatari investments in Algeria in various economic sectors of common interest.
In a speech during the meeting, President of the Algerian-Qatari Business Council Kamal Mulla spoke about the government reforms, particularly in the economic and financial sectors to create a stable business climate and encourage local and foreign investment.
For his part, QBA Chairman and head of the Qatari side of the business council Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim Al Thani highlighted the distinguished relations between the two countries, expressing his aspiration to develop partnerships with Algerian businessmen in the sectors of tourism and agriculture. He stressed that all factors are ready to enhance cooperation, and there is a will to establish partnerships and all suggestions are welcomed.
For his part, the President of the Algerian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Tayeb Shabab expressed the will of the Algerian side to establish a real and sustainable partnership with Qatari partners, not just trade exchange. He also called on Qatari businessmen to discover investment opportunities in Algeria, especially in strategic areas such as agriculture, desert agriculture, reconstruction, tourism, and solar energy.
