As part of its efforts to keep pace with the latest technologies facilitating services for customers, the Ministry of Interior, represented by the General Directorate of Information Systems, launched on Wednesday, 17 new e-services on the Metrash2 application.
The new e-services, launched on the sidelines of the International Exhibition for Homeland Security and Civil Defence (Milipol Qatar 2022), will not only save the time and effort of customers, but also reduce their visits to the MoI Services Centres.
The newly launched services include 6 residence permit services, 5 search and follow-up services, 3 recruitment services, 2 establishment card services and 1 Al-Adeid service.
The 6 newly launched Metrash2 residency services include applications for issuing, renewal and cancellation of residence permits; applications for changing passport details; for reducing residence violation fines and tracking applications for residence services; services related to establishment card issue; and cancellation of the Establishment Card.
The Search and Follow up Department related services include complaints of leaving the work, financial claims like fines and tickets, visa purpose violation complaint, witness approval, and specified Al-Adeid Services.
Applications for approval of domestic workers’ recruitment by Qataris and residents and tracking the approval status of applications are among the other services launched.
Seven buildings inaugurated
During the opening ceremony of the Milipol Qatar 2022, 7 buildings of the Ministry of Interior were inaugurated virtually. These included Wakra Civil Defence Centre, Al Sailiya Police Station, Shamal Security Complex, Al Fazaa Police Department headquarters at Musaimeer, Al Thumama Traffic Investigation Section, Police Dog Section and Umm Sulal Police Station.
Early Warning System
One of the latest technological system launched during the Milipol Qatar 2022 was the “Early Warning System”, operated by the Communications Department of the Ministry of Interior. The new system responds to emergencies by sending messages to community members to alert them in the event of disasters or emergencies in a certain area.
One of the advantages of this system is that, it allows sending of a large number of alert messages to users within seconds. It also allows sending messages to people in a limited geographical area, such as a football field, for example, and directing the audience according to it.
