Brigadier-General Ibrahim Khalil Al Mohannadi, head of the Legal Affairs and Communication Unit of the Committee, referred to the role of the International Police Cooperation Center (IPCC), which is concerned with coordinating procedures and exchanging information between representatives of international police agencies from qualified countries and representatives from international organizations, with the aim of enhancing security and safety during the World cup period.
The centre works on exchanging information between representatives of the international police services and Qatar, with the aim of exchanging information and managing crises during the World Cup. The centre has prominent cooperation with the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol).
He added that the conference will be an opportunity to further enhance cooperation and communication with countries and international and regional organizations.
For his part, Brigadier Abdullah Al Muftah, head of Media, explained that the conference will witness a discussion of many important themes and topics, noting that the Safety & Security Operation Committee has sought to implement its security strategy and plans in the field for training and rehabilitation, and to enhance international and regional cooperation with brotherly and friendly countries, in addition to carrying out many exercises with wide local and international participation, with the aim of making this edition of the World Cup the safest and most secure.
