Omega has always striven to be the first in line when it comes to sports and supporting the best athletes in the world. With the evolution of sports, the best athletes continue to push the boundaries of speed, strength and endurance.

Omega Sports Ambassadors have extolled their relationship with Omega, an international watchmaker, during their visit to Omega Boutique in Doha during their attendance at the Doha Diamond League.
In an exclusive interview at Omega Store in Doha with a group of one of the most important Omega Ambassadors who have joined the brand’s distinguished list of sports stars, Swedish pole-vaulting champion Mundo Duplantis, a 22-year-old, said he added a first Diamond Trophy to his growing list of gongs last season and will launch his title defence in Doha, and American professional sprinter Noah Lillis, champion 2019 and 2020 Olympic bronze medalist in the 200 metres, reigning world champion of 200 metres, spoke about his link with Omega. The 2016 and 2018 European champion Olympic javelin champion Thomas Roehler, 2018 European champion, also joined the group.
Thomas Rohler, who was wearing his personal favourite SpeedMaster, Dark Side of the Moon, spoke about his experience with Omega and referred to it as exceptional.
He said, “We are a family and a team at the same time. My relationship with Omega is based on shared values, such as the focus on high performance at all levels. Omega watches are built on the highest technical features with exceptional handcraft. On the field, we are committed to always putting out the continuous effort, high accuracy in the smallest details and following a strict schedule. Consistency and accuracy are the most important common elements between any professional athlete and Omega.
He added, “Being an athlete and a brand ambassador are not two separate things, but part of the philosophy. Omega has always played a big role when it comes to sports. Being an ambassador for this iconic brand is to share personal stories and thoughts, to be able to wear this brand and see it on my wrist, see it on TV and on the field is incredible. I’m sure the core of the relationship between the Omega and any athlete goes back to the stories that lie behind.”
On his part, Mundo Duplantis expressed the values he shared personally with the brand, which help him achieve a clear understanding of the precision and professionalism that Omega expresses.
“I enjoyed visiting the facilities and watching the watchmakers at work creating an elegant collection of high-end watches. The importance lies in the small details that make up a sporty vision, the intricate little detail on the watch is unique,” he said.
When asked about his watch, Mondo favours Seamaster Diver 300m the most.
Lyles, on his part, said that his all-time favourite watch is the Omega Speadmaster Dark Side of the Moon, especially when worn during training and competing.
“I’ve never worn a watch so light. It is like not wearing anything on my wrist. Besides, the elegance and charm of the design is superb.” he noted
Expressing his enjoyment of his visit to Doha, Noah Lillis stressed that he is fully prepared to be present in the most prominent sporting events in Qatar, whether as a participant or as a spectator.
The well-known high jump champion Gianmarco Tinpari, current Olympic champion and 2021 Diamond League champion, who began his partnership with Omega this year in January, said: “Of course, I have known the brand much longer, thanks to our shared relationship with the Diamond League and the Olympic Games. With so many sports emerging this year, it felt it was a good time to join hands and start something special.
“It is a huge honour to be partnering with Omega. They have such high standards in everything they offer and are in perfect alignment with my style. I am still learning so much about the brand’s heritage, not only in watchmaking but also in sporty timekeeping.”
