Weekend set to be colder as temperature to drop further: QMD

Northwesterly wind with speeds ranging between 12 and 22 knots and gusts of 30 knots is expected to return between Thursday and Sunday, again dropping temperatures to as low as 8°C. The maximum temperature during this period will range between 17°C and 23°C, while the minimum will hover around 8-15°C, QMD said. The apparent temperatures will be even lower, it said, adding that nights and early mornings will be the coldest, especially in the southern and outer areas. The wind is likely to whip up dust on its course, restricting visibility to less than 2 kms in open areas. (TNN)
