The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has stressed the importance of supporting community members for their continuous efforts and playing their role in combating the COVID-19 pandemic by receiving the booster dose of vaccine and following the precautionary measures.
Dr Jamila Al Ajmi, Executive Director of the Infection Control Department at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), said, “Since the start of 2020, our infection control teams have been working tirelessly to keep the community safe from the threat of COVID-19.”
“Our work has focused on reducing the risk of infection within hospitals and health centers, to protect our patients and healthcare staff, as well as raising awareness among Qatar’s population of how to reduce the risk of catching the virus outside of healthcare settings. Please support our ongoing efforts and play your part in fighting the pandemic by getting your booster vaccine dose and following the precautionary measures,” Dr Al Ajmi added.
