Pak Shamaa School recently organised a virtual art competition to enhance the imaginative abilities of students.
Despite COVID-19 restrictions, the institution regularly engages students in different creative activities to unearth their latent talent. The event was organised under the supervision of Haseena Sharif, Shawal Nasir and Rabiya Ali.
The institution strongly believes that every child possesses a certain degree of imaginative ability even as different people possess different degrees of this ability. In some cases, it’s highly developed and in others it’s manifested in a weaker form. Some people are able to imagine clear mental images and others can imagine only blurred images. However, this ability can be improved with proper training and guidance.
The students were given distinctive themes to prepare their imaginative works such as reusing plastic bottles to make a vase, prepare hanging objects from newspapers, making bloom from papers, making outlines and bushel from cardboard and making depictions on canvas by using paints and clay. The competition provided an opportunity to the students to showcase their creativity and craftsmanship.
All the contestants were given appreciation certificates.
Pak Shamaa School Principal Nabila Kaukab praised the efforts of the participating students and teachers.
