As part of the ‘India@75, Azaadi Ka Amrith Mahotsav’ and in celebration of the 73rd Republic Day of India, the Indian Cultural Center (ICC) organised a blood-donation camp, in cooperation with the HMC Blood Donor Center, in the Ashoka Hall of the ICC on January 21.
Ambassador of India to Qatar HE Dr Deepak Mittal was the chief guest at the event. First Secretary of the Indian embassy and coordinating officer for the ICC Xavier Dhanraj, ISC President Dr Mohan Thomas, ICBF President Ziad Usman, IBPC President Jaffer Sadic, Doha Bank CEO Dr R Seetaraman, and community leaders and dignitaries were present on the occasion.
Dr Deepak Mittal thanked the ICC team, HMC staff and the Indian community for taking part in the camp. “Each blood donor, through his contribution, saves lives and improves others’ health,” he said.
The blood-donation camp was conceptualised and executed by the ICC Management Committee under the leadership of PN Babu Rajan, Vice President Subramanya Hebbagelu and General Secretary Krishna Kumar.
All blood donors received special certificates and medals from the Indian ambassador.
