The Shura Council, at a meeting chaired by Speaker of the Council HE Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanim via videoconferencing at the Council’s headquarters on Monday, approved a request to extend the work of Services and Public Utilities Committee to study a draft law on the temporary expropriation and appropriation of real estate for public benefit and Law No 2 of 2007 on the housing system.
At the beginning of the session, Secretary-General of the Shura Council HE Dr Ahmed bin Nasser Al Fadhala read out the agenda of the session. The minutes of the previous session were ratified.
During the session, the members discussed a number of issues related to the functioning of the Council and the work of its committees from an organisational point of view.
The Council took the appropriate decisions regarding the matter.
