Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs HE Dr. Khalid bin Mohammad Al Attiyah inaugurated the new facilities and buildings of the Armed Forces Technical Institute.
The ceremony began with a briefing by Commander of the Armed Forces Technical Institute Brigadier (Technician/Air) Mohamed Zayed Al Ruwaili on the new headquarters and the most important facilities, equipment, and services provided by the Institute to its affiliates, followed by an inspection tour of the Institute’s facilities and a review of the affiliates’ level.
In addition to general engineering training and specialised engineering training in electronics, mechanics, information systems, and cybersecurity, the Institute offers foundational and specialized courses in English, computer, information technology, mathematics, science, and engineering principles.
Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Staff Lieutenant General (Pilot) HE Salem bin Hamad bin Aqeel Al Nabit and several senior officers of the Armed Forces attended the opening ceremony.
