The designated authorities referred 317 people to prosecution for failing to comply with the country’s preventive and precautionary measures to halt the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).
Among them, 258 people were referred to the prosecution for failing to wear masks, 43 for failing to maintain a safe distance, 11 for failing to download the Ehteraz app, and 5 for failing to comply with quarantine conditions.
The measures are consistent with the Cabinet decision and Decree Law No. 17 of 1990 on infectious diseases, as well as the precautionary measures in place in the country to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
The designated authorities urged the public to follow the precautionary measures in place to ensure their own and others’ safety.
