Minister of Social Development and Family HE Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad, affirmed that the ministry is constantly working to support its partnership with private associations and institutions, as they represent a true tributary in organising the ministry’s tasks and competencies.
Speaking on Thursday at the ceremony to honour private associations and institutions that won the first round of the ministry’s quality initiatives competition, she said this celebration comes to serve the community and affirms the ministry’s belief in the role played by private associations and institutions in collaboration with state institutions to achieve the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030. She stressed that private associations and institutions are one of the pillars of social capital, which also include all voluntary institutions that contribute to societal economic, social, and cultural development.
The minister thanked the heads and members of the boards of directors and general assemblies of private associations and institutions for their important role in strengthening partnerships with state institutions and achieving national development goals, noting the importance of these associations in providing many social, scientific, cultural, and economic services to the Qatari community. Her Excellency praised the pioneering and innovative ideas contained in the participating initiatives to serve the community, partic ularly in light of the Ministry’s ongoing support for the qualitative initiatives of private associations and institutions in order to help them achieve their objectives.
The minister congratulated the winning associations and those who participated in this edition on their programmes that reflect the goals of their various activities and contribute to raising citizens’ and residents’ awareness of the important role that civil society organizations play in the State of Qatar. Her Excellency praised the Ministry’s partners in this competition, particularly the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, represented by the General Administration of Endowments and Qatar Charity, for their contributions to the competition’s success.
The minister praised the good work of the participating organisations and expressed her hope that such ideas, proposals, and qualitative initiatives that enrich social work in the country and serve all segments of society will continue.
