In celebration of its 42nd founding anniversary, and an association with the Qatari customers that began in 1980, Jumbo Electronics will host a series of exciting events throughout the year, looking forward to a brighter future.
“The last 42 years have given us plenty of reasons to celebrate,” said Sajed Jassim Mohammed Sulaiman, Vice Chairman & Managing Director of Jumbo Electronics, Qatar.
“Over the last four decades we have made remarkable progress in all areas including our brand portfolio, infrastructure and service capabilities. Jumbo has played a significant role in the defining moments of electronics retail in Qatar and we are proud of our achievements. We shall continue to evolve and make necessary calibrations in our strategy to remain robust & vibrant for years to come,” he said.
“Our first step was to establish the Jumbo stores to provide a cross-country footprint which is now is 13 stores strong with a couple more in the pipeline. Today Jumbo stores witness an average footfall of over 2,000 customers per day who look out for their favourite products in the consumer electronics, home appliances, IT, mobile phones and accessory categories. Its unique loyalty programme ‘Mukafa’ has gained massive popularity with simple and more rewarding options and priority delivery, discount on service and spare parts,” he added.
With its long association with top brands, Jumbo today is known for its association with many international and world-class brands such as LG, Ariston, Indesit, Harman Kardon, JBL, Brother, Kenwood, Blueair, Nutribullet, Morphy Richards, Awei, and Mr Light.
Director & CEO, C.V. Rappai, who has been a founding member and a key driving force behind the growth of Jumbo Electronics in Qatar, remarked, “With the modernisation and development of the infrastructure in Qatar, Jumbo forayed into the MEP and B2B business which now caters to a diverse customer base across a wide spectrum of clients from large private companies to the top government organisations involved in the infrastructure development of the country.”

Jumbo has chalked out ambitious plans for the future, including strengthening our e-commerce arm jumbosouq.com and increasing our footprint in the GCC. The first international branch was made operational in Oman in December 2020, with few others being established.
