The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has removed Egypt from exceptional red list countries. This category called for seven-day quarantine.
Travellers from Egypt will now have to go through two-day hotel quarantine and a PCR test on the first day at the quarantine hotel after arrival. This applies to all age groups.
As per the new quarantine and travel policy, those coming from Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Namibia, South Africa and Zimbabwe need seven days’ home or hotel quarantine for citizens, seven-day hotel quarantine for GCC citizens, and two-day hotel and five-day home quarantine for residents.
Visitors from these countries will be subjected to hotel quarantine upon arrival. The changes came into effect from 1 December at 6 pm. (TNN)
