More than 5,000 people are receiving COVID-19 booster doses every day, according to a health official.
In a video posted on Ministry of Public Health’s Twitter account, Dr Samya Ahmad Al Abdulla, Senior Consultant of Family Medicine & Executive Director of Operations at Primary Health Care Corporation, said more than 70,000 COVID-19 booster doses have been safely administered in the country so far.
Regarding booster dose side effects, she said they are almost similar to the ones associated with the first and second doses of the vaccine.
“These side effects include a slight rise in temperature, headache, fatigue or pain at the injection site,” she said.
“They are the same common symptoms that are usually observed with all other vaccines,” she pointed out.
