The second edition of the Qatar-Poland New Tech Forum was held recently at Ritz-Carlton Hotel. The day-long event was organised by the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Doha and the Qatar-Poland Business Council.
Several high-ranking guests and dignitaries from Qatar and Poland attended the event.
The participants included HE Ahmad Mohammed Al Sayed, Minister of State, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Qatar Free Zone Authority; HE Janusz Janke, Ambassador of the Republic of Poland; HE Pawel Jablonski, Undersecretary of State for Economic Diplomacy, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Republic of Poland; HE Ambassador Robert Rostek, Deputy Director, Department of Africa and Middle East, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland; HE Sheikh Ali Alwaleed Al-Thani, Chief Executive Officer, Investment Promotion Agency Qatar; HE Sheikha Alanoud bint Hamad Al-Thani, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Qatar Financial Center; Yosouf Abdulrahman Al-Salehi, Executive Director, Qatar Science & Technology Park; Ali Makke, representative Microsoft; and business leaders from Poland.
Around 20 leading Polish technology companies presented innovative solutions and products in various fields, including cloud technology, e-mobility, fintech, renewable & recycling, industry and more.
Earlier, Qatar-Poland Business Council President Daniel Dybala welcomed the guests and thanked them for accepting the invitation.
In his address, Tomasz Sadzinski, Deputy Head of Mission at the embassy of Poland, said the second Forum would become a vital part of Qatar’s business landscape.
He said Poland is keen to expand its economic relationship with Qatar as seen from various events organised since November 2020 and from the forthcoming official visit by President of Poland Andrzej Duda to Qatar later this year.
He lauded the leading role of Qatar-Poland Business Council led by Daniel Dybala in forging bridges between the business communities in Poland and Qatar.
The event was sponsored by Qatar Financial Center and supported by Investment Promotion Agency Qatar; Qatar Free Zones Authority; Qatar Science & Technology Park; Qatari Businessmen Association; and Microsoft Qatar.
The delegates discussed in detail various sectors, especially hi-tech areas where investors from both the countries may cooperate and further boost bilateral ties.
