Qatar Tourism, in partnership with Mowasalat (Karwa), has announced the start of the voting period for its ‘Iconic Limousine Design’ competition.
With more than 450 submissions, the contest has seen overwhelming participation from citizens and residents.
Qatar Tourism’s committee reviewed each entry, shortlisting 20 designs that best reflect the competition’s themes: Qatar’s culture and heritage, progressive future, as well as sustainability and eco-friendly vision.
The public vote will take place from November 23 to December 14, 2021.
The design which garners the most public votes will receive the ‘People’s Design Choice’ award.
A jury panel will also evaluate the shortlisted designs and select the winning design which will be featured on Qatar’s Iconic Limousines. To view the shortlisted designs and select your favourite design, visit www.iconiclimousinedesign.qa.
Berthold Trenkel, chief operating officer at Qatar Tourism, said: “This design contest is part of Qatar Tourism’s efforts to celebrate the country’s cultural identity and heritage. I am delighted with the enthusiasm and want to thank everyone who participated.
“Tourism has such a widespread impact; long after visitors return home, they remember the culture and experience. As part of Qatar Tourism’s Service Excellence programme, this iconic limousine service will be a visual representation of the country for visitors.”
Qatar Tourism works closely with stakeholders across the public and private sector to develop products and services that enhance the visitor experience.
The entity’s partnership with Mowasalat is an example of that, fostering collaboration and ensuring a seamless journey, with luxury and excellence at each touchpoint.
