Under the sponsorship of the Qatar Chamber (QC) and with the support of the Qatar Businesswomen Forum, the seventh edition of the ‘Merwad Exhibition’ is scheduled to kick off on January 5 at the Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC).
The six-day expo, which is organised by Vouge Event Company, will display products and designs of more than 140 prominent female entrepreneurs from Qatar, alongside others from GCC countries, Lebanon, Turkey, Egypt, and India, QC said in a statement on Wednesday.
Throughout 160 stands, exhibitors will display their latest innovations in fashion designs for winter and spring of 2022, as well as a collection of women’s supplies and accessories.
Qatar Chamber board member and Qatar Businesswomen Forum chairperson Ibtihaj al Ahmadani will inaugurate the expo in the presence of a number of leading businesswomen and entrepreneurs.
The exhibition offers a good opportunity for visitors to get acquainted with the latest trends in fashion and luxurious clothes, as well as the latest designs of abayas.
In a statement, Ahmadani said the expo has witnessed significant development over the recent few years and gained a great reputation not only at the local level but also at the Arab and international levels, due to the success it achieved in presenting the latest innovations in the field of women fashion.
She reiterated the support of the Qatar Businesswomen Forum for this exhibition stemmed out from its firm conviction in the necessity of providing support for Qatari female entrepreneurs and enabling them to promote their projects locally and internationally.
She also stressed the Qatar Chamber’s keenness to sponsor the exhibition, indicating that the expo successfully reflects the creativity of Qatari women and entrepreneurs.
Ahmadani also pointed out that the expo’s previous edition held last October witnessed a qualitative leap in terms of the creations of Qatari designers and the increase of Arab and foreign exhibitors, assuring that this reflects its success in attracting more participants from different countries.
Vouge said it will organise the expo’s eighth edition during the holy month of Ramadan from March 1-6.
On her part, Vouge director Tamader al Marri said the large number of exhibitors participating in the expo’s upcoming edition affirmed the success it has made in its previous editions.
In addition to the preparations for the seventh edition, she said, the work is underway for the eighth edition, adding that registration is open for companies willing to participate in the expo.
Marri also extended her gratitude and appreciation to Qatar Chamber for sponsoring the expo, and to the Qatari Businesswomen Forum for its continued support for the expo.
