In partnership with Qatar Tourism, the second day of Hospitality Qatar 2021, successfully centred the spotlight on the importance of providing great customer experience in the hospitality and tourism sector.
Now on its 6th edition, Hospitality Qatar serves as a platform for hotel operators, HORECA suppliers, investors, and other industry professionals to market latest products and services while exploring developments in the industry.
The direct contribution of the local travel and tourism sector to Qatar’s gross domestic product (GDP) is projected to reach QR44.9 billion with an 8.7 percent rise per year from 2018 to 2028. This number is expected to grow as the country prepares to welcome an influx of visitors for FIFA World Cup 2022.
To deliver a wholistic experience for tourists and international visitors, Hospitality Qatar aims to provide a platform for industry professionals to equip themselves with the skills, training, and knowledge needed to ensure a remarkable customer experience.
The second day of the conference, in partnership with Qatar Tourism, themed ‘Delivering a Memorable Customer Experience’ , featured a programme organised by Jamil Qureshi, a specialist on the psychology of peak performance.
Qureshi is one of today’s foremost psychology practitioners, an author and a motivational speaker who has worked with various talented business and sports figures in the world. One of his main focuses was to help teams fulfill their full potentials through performance-enhancing programmes.
Haidar Mshaimesh, General Manager of IFP Qatar said, “We are pleased of the results and feedback received from the hospitality sector and stakeholders on the first two days of Hospitality Qatar. The theme on the second day, which is centered on customer experience and service, is one of the important objectives in the travel and hospitality sector as both deals with customers and clients all the time.
“We aim to help businesses identify solutions and discuss ideas on how to deliver an exemplary experience to local and international visitors. Qatar’s tourism and hospitality sector is gearing up to welcome thousands of tourists next year and this event will help industry professionals to enhance their performance and delivery of customer service.”
“Over the past years we have seen this exhibition grow and grow and it makes us very proud to be part of it; and to showcase as well what Askar does-what makes us stand out from every other competition that is out there in the market,” Said Imad Askar, Operations Director, Askar.
Meanwhile, the third day is expected to hold an equally informative session on delivering first class customer service. Participants and visitors are set to witness an exciting award ceremony in partnership with talabat app.
