HE President of Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani visited the Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum on Wednesday. During the visit, His Excellency was briefed on the museum’s holdings and toured its various halls, which include history of sports in the world, history of the Olympic Games, the best athletes in the world, history of Qatari sports, and the important hosted tournaments. HE Sheikh Joaan expressed his admiration for the museum, praising the efforts of Qatar Museums, headed by HE Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad Al Thani, Chairperson of the Qatar Museums Board of Trustees. The President of QOC, during the visit, was accompanied by HE Secretary-General of QOC Jassim bin Rashid Al Buainain, HE the Advisory President of the Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Thani, and Director of Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum Abdulla Yousef Al Mulla.
