The Ministry of Commerce and Industry, in collaboration with Alfardan Automobiles Company, the exclusive distributor of BMW vehicles in Qatar, has announced the recall of the 2012-2016 BMW 420i Coupe, X1 20i, X4 30i, X5 M, X6 M models, as well as the 2005-2015 BMW 320i Saloon X3 30i, X5 40i, X6 40i models, due to a possible driver airbag defect.
The recall campaign, according to the ministry, was part of its ongoing efforts to protect consumers and ensure that car dealers follow up on vehicle defects and repairs. The ministry said that it would coordinate with the dealer to follow up on the maintenance and repair works and would communicate with customers to ensure that the necessary repairs were carried out.
The ministry urged all customers to report any violations to its Consumer Protection and Combatting Commercial Fraud Department, which processes complaints, inquires and suggestions through the following channels:
