Qatar Science & Technology Park (QSTP), a division of Qatar Foundation Research, Development & Innovation (QF RDI), has announced that applications for the latest edition of its XLR8 program are now open, with funding available for up to three winning teams upon completion. The program will run from November 23, 2021 to March 23, 2022, and applications will be accepted from October 20 to November 13, 2021.
XLR8, QSTP’s flagship accelerator programme, is now in its 12th cycle. The programme will not only provide financial support to the winners, but it will also include a new, value-added ‘Ideation Module’ as part of the training. Participants will conduct customer interviews in this module to improve or pivot their original idea based on real customer feedback, which is an important practice in the process of creating an impactful business.
This year, the programme’s extensive mentorship and speaker network will be expanded to include more international experts to mentor aspiring entrepreneurs throughout the program.
XLR8 is a pre-startup program that provides early-stage technology entrepreneurs with intensive training and mentorship to help them turn their ideas into commercially viable businesses. It has motivated hundreds of aspiring entrepreneurs to pursue their dreams and grow their skills by assisting them in refining their business models, gaining customer traction, and launching a go-to-market strategy.
The programme is open to Qatar-based teams of up to five members from a variety of industries. Through technology and innovation, successful applicants will be working on impactful solutions to real-world industry problems.
“QSTP is looking forward to welcoming the latest cohort of entrepreneurs to the 12th cycle of our XLR8 program,” said Yosouf Al-Salehi, Executive Director of QSTP.
