beIN MEDIA GROUP’s flagship sports channel beIN SPORTS escorted Dutch football legend Ruud Gullit, best world player in 1987 and 1989, and former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson, on an incredible tour of Qatar, during the next installment of its exclusive highlights programme ‘Welcome to Qatar’.
During their tour, the two legends visit famous tourist attractions and various sports organisations within the country. Gullit visits the National Museum of Qatar, where he learns more about Qatari culture and traditions.
While Robinson’s tour focuses more on the sports infrastructure of Qatar, as he visits Khalifa International Stadium, Aspire Academy, and Aspetar Hospital, the world’s leading hospital in orthopedics surgery and sports medicine.
beIN SPORTS will broadcast the seventh episode on Thursday 21 October at 18:00 Mecca Time (GMT +3) on beIN SPORTS Premium 1.
Speaking on the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022TM Ruud Gullit said: “The FIFA World Cup in Qatar will be spectacular, especially as you don’t have to fly and the fans can use the metro to travel between stadiums - enabling people to watch two matches per day”.
Commentating on the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022TM stadiums Paul Robinson said: “People think that the stadiums for the World Cup are still being built, but the stadiums are built and are ready before time”.
Since April 2021, beIN has been curating and airing this celebratory monthly programme, showcasing the State’s preparations for the upcomming international tournament, providing a behind-the-scenes glimpse at its world-class stadiums and facilities, and highlighting the beautiful tourist attractions available for visitors to explore.
