At least 30 killed in attack on market in northern Nigeria

Lagos At least 30 people were killed in an attack on a marketplace in northern Nigeria, an official said in Monday. Unknown attackers fired indiscriminately into the crowd at the Goronyo market in Sokoto state on Sunday evening, Sokoto governor Aminu Tambuwal said on Monday. Witnesses said up to 60 people were killed. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack. (DPA)
